About Me

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience working with adults, children and adolescents mostly in the public sector.

I trained as a doctor and general psychiatrist in India.

I obtained further qualifications from the Royal College of Psychiatrists  in the United Kingdom and then specialised in Child and adolescent Psychiatry.

After working 12 years in the UK, my family and I moved to the Republic of Ireland, Co. Wexford, where I set up the CAMH service in the north of the county. Following this, I worked as a locum travelling across the country for 2 years before we emigrated to New Zealand in 2014.

Since being in New Zealand, I have worked in iCAMHS Waikato DHB (Now Te Whatu Ora) till 2022.

I have been in private practice since the last quarter of 2022 and I also do some locum work.
